OM - UX Enhancements (Modify Order)

Brink Commerce is refining the order modification flow in the Merchant Portal to enhance usability and reduce errors. The updated design simplifies comparison between the original and updated order, improves visibility into pricing details, and adds clarity to variant selection and change tracking.

Impact:

These improvements will make it easier for CX teams to understand and modify orders accurately, reduce mistakes, and ensure customers receive the correct adjustments with clear internal documentation.

Benefits:

• Improved Usability: Cleaner layout with side-by-side comparison of original vs. new order.

• More Pricing Detail: Each original order line will now include key values such as:

  • Base price

  • Sale price

  • Discount (from rules)

  • Total price

  • Subtotal

  • Subtotal discount

  • Order line total

• Simplified Variant Updates: Replaces full variant list with a dropdown selector for easier updates.

• Clear Draft Overview: The draft screen will now highlight what has changed per line, following Petter’s UX design.

• Data Integrity: Quantity can no longer be set to 0, preventing invalid order states.
