Product Cost Service

A dedicated cost domain in Brink. Purchase price and landed cost are pushed from your ERP, stored per SKU, and stamped immutably on every order line, making margin available at the moment of commerce. What it means Two cost concepts, kept separate: purchase price in supplier currency for customs, landed cost in ERP base currency for margin reporting. Brink stores the last known value from your ERP and never calculates it. No FIFO, no inventory valuation. ERP and DWH remain finance truth. Management API for integrator push, idempotent per SKU. ERP-agnostic contract, so any integrator can plug in. Immutable cost snapshot on every order line at order create, including FX rate and timestamp against your reporting currency. Cost in the WMS order payload for customs declared value, and cost per line in order events for operational margin reporting. Optional sellability gating: block products without cost data from being sold, with overrides for drop-ship, gift cards and samples. Why this is good for merchants Your ERP stops being the bottleneck for operational cost questions. Customs declarations and margin reporting run from Brink in real time, and margin becomes available to commerce logic for the first time.
